Where we are taking SoCal Wellness

When I started SoCal Wellness Event, I had no idea it would teach me personally so much, but it definitely has. We evolved this event to be more about women’s wellness over the last several years as we know that to be the foundation for a family’s health and success. We carry into our families what we learn, what we model and what’s fundamentally important to us. If we aren’t making our health a priority, it’s hard to tell others to do so.

So while we certainly also cover important topics in kids health including looking at kids mental health this year and do showcase healthy baby and child products, our core focus is on identifying ways we can work on our own health preventatively and build healthy habits in to our daily routine.

Our lives are more hectic than ever and traditionally we’ve been taught that if there isn’t a medical diagnosis or specific problem with our health then we are “healthy”.  We also tend to have this idea that being thin or looking young equals good health but that isn’t necessarily the case. Far too much about health is focused on how we look and what we weigh.

The core of what we talk about at SoCal Wellness is a more integrative version of our health that considers the entire person including mind, body, connecting the two and looking at health preventatively before something goes wrong.

We also look to be on the cutting edge of holistic and non-invasive treatments and wellness practices that can have a significant impact on your life and health.

I’ve learned three important things from Wellness

(1) You have to find small sustainable and realistic changes that you can make consistently (2) there are MANY options and wellness practices but instead of following what other people do, you really need to figure out what specifically resonates with you, your lifestyle and your body and (3) access is everything.  We are extremely privileged to have access to experts, information, products and services from Wellness frequently for free or at a reduced cost because of who we are in this space.  One of our goals is to help you gain access to as much high quality but yet affordable information, resources, experts and services.

This year we will do that by expanding the content from the event into our new podcast Well which you can listen to at your convenience as well as via our virtual wellness tickets and curated boxes giving you affordable access to the content from the event.
