Krystle V. 6 years ago

My toddler only likes macs and cheese help! Any good lunch ideas?! That are easy!?

Organic soups.   We like 365 brand from Whole Foods.   You can siphon off the broth and just leave pasta, veggies, beans, lentils etc...  Or you can try it with the broth in and provide corn bread or pumpkin bread (something kind of soft) for dipping which is always fun.

Some random things that we experimented with that met with my son's approval:

  • Quesadillas with whole wheat tortillas and organic shredded cheese, cooked in a skillet with olive oil
  • Peanut butter on whole wheat toast with banana slices on it...open faced.
  • Vegetarian or turkey chili
  • Cornbread
  • In and Out French Fries or burger when in a bind (i.e he has been on food strike)
  • Different types of bread raisin, rye, challah) or bagels with spread
  • Chicken soup
  • Grilled cheese with organic cheese
  • Smoothies that we make with fresh fruit in the blender
I'll try to post more as I think of them.
