What is the best age to start your child off with art?   What did you start with -- coloring, painting ??

I just tried crayons and some finger paints this week.  He liked it but still wants to eat everything so it requires a lot of supervision and he gets frustrated quickly.

It depends on the kid. I think some kids are receptive and enjoy it at a year. Some will always require more supervision than others too! Crayons, Markers, Chalk, Finger paints or shaving cream with food coloring are always good options starting out. I don't know if I would consider it art but a lot of kids love the feeling of Play Doh in their hands.

Art is an important part of developing the whole child. Visual and Performing Arts enhance your child's self confidence, develops fine motor skills, and enhances the imagination.
